The Substance of all Creation --- 2008 --- SOLD --- 'Art of the Vessel' auction piece

Created for the fundraising art auction "Art of the Vessel" at the 2008 Bayfield,
Wisconsin Festival of the Arts.

Pressing the smiley face supplies power to microcontrolled LED neurons
and a photo slideshow player which displays mostly artwork not yet shown in public.
This work explores inherent levels of nested complexity within conciousness.

The head is the vessel forthe brain, the brain is the vessel for the mind/consciousness,
and the mind/consciousnessis the vessel for all imagination and creativity.

The programmed Picaxe microcontroller contains nested levels of looping
subprograms. The electric current that the LED bulbs receive in precise time measures
from the microcontroller is further controlled by an internal flashing microchip in each bulb.
